100 things I learnt in 100 weeks from writing 100 newsletters

Welcome to my 100th unsolicited fitness email. At this point, I’m basically your gym conscience. So, enjoy the monologue!

10 unshakable truths about fat loss

1. You can’t out-train a bad diet through an elite gym.

2. Fat loss is simple. Sustainable fat loss is not.

3. Hunger is part of the process, not the enemy.

4. The weighing scale gives you data, not a verdict.

5. If you want to burn more fat, build more muscles.

6. Walking is the most underrated and misunderstood fat loss tool.

7. You can eat all your comfort foods and still lose fat.

8. Weekend behavior kills weekday progress.

9. Fat loss needs to feel boring before its exciting results show up in the mirror.

10. You don’t need a new plan. You need to stick to the old one.

10 fitness myths I wish to erase from the world

11. “Sweating means fat loss.” No, it means heat regulation. Drink more water.

12. “No pain, no gain.” Pain is a warning, not a badge. Fitness should be fun.

13. “Carbs make you fat.” Overeating does. Stay in a caloric deficit.

14. “More is better.” Not with stress and sleep.

15. “Lifting weights makes women bulky.” No, burgers do. Strength training makes you stronger and sometimes happier too.

16. “You need supplements.” Not always. Good diet first, supplements later.

17. “Toning” isn’t a thing. You are either building muscle and losing fat or losing muscle and building fat. That’s it.

18. “Spot reduction works.” No. Fat loss doesn’t target zones. It will go all or none. Slowly.

19. “Fasting is the best.” Eat when it suits your life and body.

20. “One bad meal ruins everything.” No, one bad mindset does. Bouncing back faster and stronger is a rare skill.
